Fluffy has really cool new mini wallets and classic eco-wallets available at Serimony! Mini wallets are screen-printed on Naugahyde and have 2 interior pockets and 1 outside pocket. Minis fit your cards and a little cash so they're perfect for going out.
Eco-wallets are printed on an organic cotton/hemp blend and have a six pocket interior. What also makes these wallets special is that the interiors are unique to each piece.

Martha at the Brooklyn Flea!

Queen of craftiness Martha Stewart was doing her rounds around the Brooklyn Flea for this past Tuesday's Brooklyn-themed episode of her show! She was spotted tasting the food, checking out what vendors had in store and generally causing a commotion with her film crew. The point is that if the flea is up to Martha's standards, then I think it's time you take a trip to DUMBO and check it out for yourself. We'll be there again this Sunday as usual.

Brooklyn Fashion Nights reminder

Next Wednesday and Thursday, serimony will be open until 10 pm for Brooklyn Fashion Nights, a special event to shop some local boutiques, enjoy exclusive discounts, meet the designers and sip some wine. On Wednesday, July 29th, we're pleased to show Brooklyn designer KimmChi, gorgeous silkscreened women's apparel. On Thursday, July 30, we'll fill the shop with jewelry and adornments by triggerhappy, a line of eclectic and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Save The Date - Brooklyn Fashion Nights

We're proud to be participating in Brooklyn Fashion Nights as part of the upcoming Shop Brooklyn campaign sponsored by the Brooklyn Tourism Office and wunderbloc.com. The event will take place on July 29th and 30th from 5 -10 pm, with items such as clothing and jewelry at lovely discounts. We'll also be featuring two of our very special local designers, KimmChi and triggerhappy, in trunk shows those evenings.

Save the Date

Come visit Serimony at the Brooklyn Lyceum for a Kids' Craft market on Sat and Sun, MARCH 14 and 15, from 11am - 5pm. We'll have all of our kids and baby clothes, stuffed animals, cards and we'll be doing a demo of our block printing. The market will feature over 20 local artisans, facepainting, performances, food, drinks and music!

Serimony at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM)

We're so excited to share that our Brooklyn Bridge tote bags have been selected as the gift bag for the Bridge Project Benefit!

The Bridge Project is a landmark 3-year theater venture between the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Kevin Spacey’s The Old Vic Theatre in London. An incredible transatlantic cast featuring Ethan Hawke, Simon Russell Beale, Josh Hamilton, and Sinead Cusack will take to BAM’s Harvey Theater stage and perform Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, led by Academy Award-Winning Director Sam Mendes.

Next Tuesday Feb 17, BAM is hosting The Bridge Project Benefit, a dinner for 420 guests on the stage of BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House, followed by a performance of The Winter’s Tale and culminating back on stage at the Howard Gilman Opera House with a festive desert & cocktail reception for approximately 600 guests and cast.

We are honored to be part of this landmark event!

Serimony will have a booth at the Brooklyn Lyceum's Craft Market for Kids on March 14 and 15. The market will feature local artisans' handcrafted kids products, demos, food, drink and music.

a time for sweet nothings

Nothing breaks up the doldrums of the dead of winter like a little romance on Valentine's Day. We've got some new card designs, and some of the oldies but goodies. Available online, on etsy.com, on supermarket, and of course at our brick and mortar in Carroll Gardens.

Hot off the Presses

Another of our newest custom designs: an invitation for a mother blessing / baby shower. The idea for this design was to convey that this event was about celebrating the mom-to-be, and this important transition in her life. We selected a poem, entitled "Willow Tree" and set it against the curve of the woman's stomach. Inside, we utilized the soft green, a bright turquoise and brown text, and the envelope was a matching soft green with brown text. Next up: the birth announcements once the little boy arrives!

another local treasure lost

Starting around the summer, when Shakespeare's Sister closed, our neighborhood has been losing one local business after another. Today, while walking to work I noticed a sign in Brooklyn Artisans' window with a store wide clearance and a note to their patrons of 14 years. This is a hard time for everyone, and they will be sorely missed!

Hot off the presses

Here's the latest of our custom designed stationery - Save the Dates for Jessica and John.

The couple chose a sweet whimsical graphic of love birds for the theme of their save the dates. They were flat printed on a warm white card stock in the colors of their nature inspired wedding this summer. To complete the look, we addressed the matching envelopes with our digital calligraphy, matching the font and color of their names. Next up... the wedding invitations!
