Brooklyn Fashion Nights reminder

Next Wednesday and Thursday, serimony will be open until 10 pm for Brooklyn Fashion Nights, a special event to shop some local boutiques, enjoy exclusive discounts, meet the designers and sip some wine. On Wednesday, July 29th, we're pleased to show Brooklyn designer KimmChi, gorgeous silkscreened women's apparel. On Thursday, July 30, we'll fill the shop with jewelry and adornments by triggerhappy, a line of eclectic and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Save The Date - Brooklyn Fashion Nights

We're proud to be participating in Brooklyn Fashion Nights as part of the upcoming Shop Brooklyn campaign sponsored by the Brooklyn Tourism Office and wunderbloc.com. The event will take place on July 29th and 30th from 5 -10 pm, with items such as clothing and jewelry at lovely discounts. We'll also be featuring two of our very special local designers, KimmChi and triggerhappy, in trunk shows those evenings.

We’re excited to now carry a new sketchbook by local Brooklyn artist Harold Graves. His fun and whimsical drawings are set in our very own Carroll Gardens. “Buildings And People” is filled with the people and places he sees everyday. Available now in-store.

Park Slope Street Fair Tomorrow

Finch Designs, based in San Francisco, makes THE most adorable baby onesies and toddlers tees! Christina, owner and designer, uses bright and cheerful colors like this fuchsia and royal blue and sews sweet animal characters onto them, such as elephants, owls, dogs, and giraffes. We're so excited to now carry her beautiful designs at serimony!

newest wedding invitation design

We just had to share our latest wedding invite for Jessica and John. Their Save the Dates, encompassed a playful bird theme. They wanted to include the birds, but also incorporate the location of the wedding: the redwood forest in Northern California; and the cocktail party in San Francisco. So, to include the natural elements of the redwoods we created a tree illustration to surround the copy of the invite which was double mounted on a chartreuse thai tissue inside a chocolate brown pocket folder. We integrated the urban nature of the Friday night cocktail party with a Golden Gate Bridge drawing in blue, and uniting everything with the blue hummingbird sticker holding the pocket folder.

This was such a fun project to work on. Congratulations Jessica & john!

last minute street fair

Join us this Saturday, June 6 at the Bleecker Street fair between 7th and 8th Avenues. We'll have huge sales on all merchandise, including our cards, baby onesies and men's and women's tees! bluebirds - new wedding invitation design

The season is here, and we have another custom wedding creation to share. Incorporating the wedding color of cornflower blue, and the couple's love of birds, this square pocket invitation is made with a soft white smooth stock and a blue Thai tissue double mount inside. The outside was hand block printed with two love birds in blue, and the corresponding cards continue with the blue bird theme sitting in the interior pocket.

These bags are ALL HANdMADE, and the attention to detail is phenomenal! They're 100% cotton canvas, with cotton webbing handles, front exterior pocket, top snap closure, metal feet, eyelet details, and cotton lining with inside zipper pocket.

wedding invitation... hot off the presses

Had to share our newest wedding invitation design for a local Brooklyn couple. We seem to have a bridge theme going here, first the brooklyn bridge, then the Williamsburg, the Manhattan and now the Queensboro!

The bride grew up on Roosevelt Island, and the wedding is taking place in Long Island City, so the 59th St bridge seemed like the logical choice. We set the bright white of the invitation on a cheerful orange pocket folder, with complimenting deep rich purple text and matching orange for the graphics.

Who are the people in your neighborhood?

Allyn Howard, a local Carroll Gardens artist, recently started a delightful new blog, sharing her daily findings on art, culture and neighborhood. She was kind enough to include us in a recent post on blipadee, where she's featured local Brooklyn faves like Le Petit Cafe and Cozbi, as well as covering neighborhood events such as our rainy day Court Street Fair. Being an artist herself, she's got a great eye for capturing interesting moments and gorgeous treasures in her own stomping ground, and her blog is brimming with colorful photos. Besides blogging, the very talented Allyn is also the creator of a series of paintings and characters, vibrant and playful, ideal for children's rooms. Some of her work can be seen on her website. Thanks Allyn!!

5th Avenue Street Fair

Here's some pics from our booth at the 5th ave Fair. It was a little cold and windy for mid-May, but the rain stayed away and people were out having a great time. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth! See you at Seventh heaven!

New Designer

We are stocking up for summer with new totes and women's tees by Rainbow Swirlz! Her pieces incorporate cute and fun graphics on super bright hues, great for adding a splash of color to any outfit.

Park Slope 5th Ave Street Fair

Come visit us at the 5th Avenue Street Fair this Sunday, May 17 from 11 until 6. Serimony's booth will be between President St and Carroll St, and we'll have lots of BIG sales on baby clothes, women's and men's tees, totes and cards.

Summer of fairs

Serimony will have booths at several street fairs this month, starting with next Sunday, May 3rd on our own block. The Court Street Fair spans from Union to 9th Street, and boasts food, drink, rides for the kids, and big sales. Stop by our booth from 11am til 6pm for discounts on all our goodies.

spotlight: serimony featured on art garage sale

We've just been featured on new-ish artist website art garage sale, where artists from around the country sell their work. There's some pretty cool stuff on there, and we're honored to be featured :)

Kids' Craft Fair at the Brooklyn Lyceum

Last weekend we spent at the Brooklyn Lyceum for the ALL Kid's Craft Fair. By the looks of it, the little tykes had a great time, with a craft corner, kids' haircuts, live music, popcorn, shows, and tons of locally crafted merchandise for the ittie bitties on up to their parents. Here's some pictures of our booth, with Erin of Wallco Jr, and all of our t-shirts, bags, art, stuffed animals and more! We even had a little block printing demo for the kiddies to see how its done and try it out for themselves.

Hot off the Presses

Our latest custom wedding invitation features an image of the Brooklyn Bridge, on a double mounted square card in the couple's colors: kelly green and black. It's printed on a super smooth ultra white card, contrasted with the highly textured black layer of Thai tissue, and a super smooth kelly green layer at the bottom. The bride and groom are tying the knot in Brooklyn Heights, home to one of the best views of the bridge.
